This music box puzzle was created for an interactive theatre production entitled The Institute. A melody is broken into 3 pieces and assigned to a wooden wedge. When a wedge is incerted into a slot, its portion of the melody will play. When all three wedges are in the correct slots the entire song will play to indicate the correct solution, and the sequence of letters on the wedges will be the next clue for the guests attending the play.

The box uses an Arduino and wavesheild to control the logic and sound. Each wedge has a different value resistor at the bottom connected to magnets which are used to determine which wedge is being inserted.
